Questions I am often asked

Do you see both dogs and cats?
Yes. I look after dogs and cats at home across the Central Coast NSW.
Can you come after hours or on weekends?
Yes. I offer after-hours and weekend appointments where possible. I understand that the need to say goodbye doesn't always arise during normal business hours. Please call or text me to discuss your pet and I'll do my best to accommodate you.
Can I be with my pet?
Absolutely. You're welcome to stay with your pet throughout the entire appointment, and family members can be present too. If you would prefer not to be there for the final moments, that is completely okay! I will make sure your pet is comfortable, calm and treated with care throughout.
Will my pet feel any pain?
No. I first give a sedative so your pet falls into a deep, relaxed sleep. Only once they are fully asleep do I give the final injection, which is quick and painless.
How long does the visit take?
There is no set time. I allow enough for you to say goodbye without watching the clock. The injections themselves take only a few minutes.
How do I know when it is the right time?
It is one of the hardest questions, and I am happy to talk it through with you, with no obligations. We can assess your pet's quality of life and discuss options
What are the aftercare options?
Private cremation with ashes returned, community cremation, or home burial where appropriate. We talk it through in the same conversation, so it is settled before the visit.
Who provides the cremation?
If you choose cremation, I can arrange the aftercare for you so you don't need to organise this yourself. Cremation is carried out by a trusted third-party aftercare provider that I work with. I'll discuss the available options with you and explain what to expect when we speak.
How much does it cost?
